Prepare to throw down at Brooklyn Bowl London this coming September as the man they call the “Godfather of Noyze”, Rahzel, rolls into town for a night that promises to be an absolute rager. Also on the bill, mastermind DJ JS-1 from the world famous Rocksteady Crew will be tearing up the ones and twos while rival London B-Boy crews, the Soul Mavericks and the Rain Crew, will face off against one another by breakdancing their way to victory.

First known to the world as a member of the mighty Hip Hop collective - and now Jimmy Fallon house band - The Roots, Rahzel’s ability to sing or rap while simultaneously beatboxing is what put him on the map. In particular it was his signature song, “If Your Mother Only Knew” - a track where he took elements of Aaliyah’s “If Your Girl Only Knew” and flipped it beatbox style - that well and truly solidified him as one of the best beatboxers on the planet.

Aside from his two solo projects - Make the Music 2000 and Rahzel’s Greatest Knock Outs - Rahzel has lent his talents to many other projects. Working on Bjork’s Medúlla album, as well as the Let’s Go to Prison soundtrack, he’s also partnered with the likes of Common, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, k-os, Sean Paul, Rakim, Erykah Badu, Ben Harper, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and even the UK’s very own Roni Size and the late Lynden David Hall.

Bringing his DJ sidekick, DJ JS-1, the pair has performed over 275 shows worldwide together over the past two and a half years. Showcasing their talents in places such as LA, New York, London, Brazil, Germany, Canada and Amsterdam, they’ve blown the roof off of many a venue with names such as Rage Against the Machine, The Roots, RZA, Ghostface Killah, X-Executioners, Q-Bert, Oasis, Souls of Mischief, Digital Underground, GZA, Tha Liks, Queen Latifah, Mix Master Mike, Roni Size, Ja Rule, KRS One, and even the legendary Gil Scott Heron.

This show is 18+ and tickets are on sale now at £15 here.
