Green Day have been forced to postpone some tour dates and cancel one show altogether due to ill health.
They won't be playing the first three dates of their American tour or a show in Toronto.
According to the announcement they made on their Facebook page, the reason is "an illness affecting several members of the band and its crew."
"The postponed dates are: St. Louis, MO on 20/9 Chicago, IL on 21/9; and Detroit, MI on 24/9. The show in Toronto, ONT on 23/9, where they were due to appear at the World Cup of Hockey Fan Village will be canceled.
"Tickets will be refunded from point of purchase."
Green Day are expected to resume their tour later this month and play the following live dates:
September
26 - Columbus, Newport Music Hall
28 Sayreville, Starland Theater
29 Philadelphia, Tower Theatre
October
1 - Boston, House of Blues
3 - Washington DC, 9:30 Club
8 - New York, Webster Hall
17 - Los Angeles, Palladium
20 - Berkeley, UC Theatre
Meanwhile, the band will put out their album Revolution Radio on 7 October. They have put out the title track and 'Bang Bang', which has quite a lot of depth to it. "There's this sort of rage happening, but it's also now being filmed and we all have ourselves under surveillance. To me, that is so twisted," said Billie Joe-Armstrong to Rolling Stone.
The new stuff is good indication of the shows to come and will be adding to the bitter disappointment of those who had tickets to the cancelled shows. Green Day will play the UK in February. Check here for more ticket information.
