The Stone Roses look set to announce a second Wembley Stadium show.
The band have already booked to play at Wembley on 17 June. But according to the NME rumour has it that the band will play a second Wembley date.
The band sold out four stadium dates in Manchester so their ability to shift tickets in the hundreds of thousands is undisputed. North West London won't know what's hit it by the time the bucket hat lager guzzling fans strut down their streets in the summer.
Rumours of the extra Wembley date started circulating around the same time as The Stone Roses' infamous lemon logo appeared at Wembley Stadium hours before the official announcements of the new tour dates.
Gigwise is unable to officially confirm the extra Wembley show rumours as the band has a policy of neither denying or confirming any rumours. It is however thought the 16 June gig will be announced after the 17 June show goes on sale at 9.30am on Friday morning.
The Stone Roses are also rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury next year, with the new tour dates fitting in nicely around the festival. Coldplay set up some Wembley stadium dates before they headlined the festival this year so could they follow in their footsteps? The band have never headlined the festival before and are 6/1 at the bookies to do it this year.
The 2017 dates so far are as follows:
June 13 BELFAST, SSE ARENA
June 17 LONDON, WEMBLEY STADIUM connected by EE
June 24 GLASGOW, HAMPDEN PARK
