Polar States may not be a band that you are familiar with, but they are a band that you are about to hear a lot more from

Polar States appreciate the use of atmospherics in some forms of indie rock, and instead of drafting it in to pad out the single, they have accentuated it to make it the theme of the song. As a synth line brings in the first chorus, the song reaches it's first of very few climaxes.

Polar States have made a single that is mid-tempo and achieved something by making it overtly interesting. The track is superbly produced, and even more so, well-written. This single sounds like the band are coming of age.

'Under The Northern Sky', is another single released by the band that has had the realisation that not everything has to be a million miles an hour. The single, which is to be released 21 October, is indeed another milestone for the band.

You can find the band on Facebook and Twitter.
