Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are set to release a record together in May.
Speaking to the LA Times, McVie said: “I've been sending Lindsey demos in their very raw form, and he's been doing his Lindsey magic on them, which I love.” Buckingham added: "All these years we've had this rapport, but we'd never really thought about doing a duet album before."
Despite a full-band record being discussed previously - and Mick Fleetwood and John McVie being involved in this project - the recordings won't be credited to Fleetwood Mac, but will instead be titled Buckingham Mcvie. The project title hints at the Buckingham Nicks band name, adopted by Buckingham and Stevie Nicks prior to their involvement with Fleetwood Mac.
It's not known whether this record will affect the release of the planned Fleetwood Mac album.
Keyboardist McVie rejoined the band for their 2014 and 2015 'On With The Show' tour, after leaving the hitmakers in 1997. Her comeback meant hits she penned for the band such as 'Little Lies', 'You Make Loving Fun' and 'Everywhere' were brought back, making the setlist of decade-spanning tracks even more impressive.
Fleetwood Mac's reunion saw them headline the Isle of Wight festival in June 2015 and play London's 02 Arena.
