Kendrick Lamar made a surprise appearance at The Weeknd's club show in Los Angeles. Watch footage of the special performance below.
The two artists gave the first live airing of their Starboy collaboration track 'Sidewalks' at the special Vevo-sponsored event, the night after Lamar hosted his own intimate show in Brooklyn.
Reporting on the performance, Rolling Stone said: "At first, it seemed as though Lamar's verse was the prerecorded version from the album; however, after a few lines, the rapper emerged from backstage, with the audience collectively going crazy upon realizing Lamar was in the building."
In a recent interview with Beats 1, The Weeknd hailed Lamar as a "genius" when speaking of the collaboration, going on to explain: "It wasn't just a random Kendrick Lamar verse. It was something special".
