Catfish And The Bottlemen will headline a show at London’s Finsbury Park as part of the new Community festival on 1 July.
The Wombats, Slaves, Nothing But Slaves, The Hunna, Darlia, Fickle Friends and Redfaces will join Catfish on the bill, which brings a multi-venue Shoreditch festival to a major outdoor site.
Community began as a showcase for hundreds of new bands ranged across numerous venues in East London in 2015. The new event will mark Catfish & The Bottlemen’s latest major festival headline slot after they topped bills at Truck festival and Tramlines on the back of their celebrated second album ‘The Ride’.
The event will also be a key show for The Wombats, who will be marking the tenth anniversary of their debut album ‘A Guide To Love, Loss And Desperation’ with a one-off show at Brixton Academy the day before Community (June 30) as well as releasing a new album. “I’ve been working out here in L.A. on new stuff,” singer Matthew Murphy told fans, “and gonna go see Dan and Tord in two weeks in Oslo to work on even more stuff. There’s lots of songs in the works and there’s going to be more once we get to Oslo. We’re making an effort to not take as long as we have done between previous albums so this one’s going to be out quicker than you would think. It’ll be the back-end of the summer – if not the album then a single.”
Tickets to Community go on sale at 10am tomorrow.
