The Black Lips announce new album produced by Sean Lennon

There's also contributions from Saul Adamczewski of Fat White Family and Yoko Ono

Black Lips have announced that their first album in three years. Satan’s Graffiti Or God’s Art? is released on May 5 in the UK through Vice Records.

Produced by the guiding hands and knob twiddling skills of Sean Lennon at his his studio compound in upstate New York, the band breathlessly claim that the new platter is their “…most musically evolved to date, while still staying true to their original blistering take on fuzzy, dirty rock n’ roll.”

Speaking of the recording process, The Black Lips state the band isolated themselves from the outside world to “…infuse the album with a focused liveliness similar to the spirit that brought them together in the first place.”

Founder members Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley have reunited with erstwhile guitarist Jack Hine who previously played with the group from 2002-2004. They were also joined by Oakley Munson on drums and saxophonist Zumi Rosow.

The album also features contributions by Saul Adamczewski of Fat White Family and guest - ahem - vocals by Yoko Ono.
