Adele has said that it might be more a case of “goodbye” rather than ‘Hello’ as she wrapped up her down under tour in Auckland, New Zealand.

Speaking to a sold-out 40,000 crowd at the Mount Smart Stadium, the New Zealand Herald reports that the superstar singer admitted that she didn’t enjoy touring and was unsure whether she’d ever do it again.

However, Adele did acknowledge the enormity of what she had achieved with her mammoth 15-month tour by calling it, “the greatest achievement of my life.” She added: “It’s changed my life. I understand why I do it.”

Adele made the stratement at final concert of a three-night stand at the Mount Smart Stadium – the first time that an artist had sold the venue out so many times.

Michael Coppel, her promoter in Australia and New Zealand, backed up her assertion when he told Australia’s News Corp media that this may well be her last visit to the area.

He said: “We may never see her again.

“Adele’s been quoted as saying she won’t tour again, she’s doing this big tour as a recognition of her huge record sales and the enormous demand to see her live.

“It’s impossible to tell what happens next. Then the future’s an open book.”

Adele’s tour in support of her global smash hit album, 25, has seen her play to sold-out crowds in Europe, America, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.

Her tour of Australia has broken all records where she shifted a staggering 600,000 tickets from just eight dates.

Adele will wrap up her world tour when returns to the UK for four sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium between June 28 and July 2. What happens next is anybody’s guess.
