Mid-noughties indie cool kids The Kooks are teasing "exciting big news" over on their Twitter page, ahead of their 'Best Of' tour, which kicks-off next month.
The band, fronted by Luke Pritchard, are set to begin a huge string of dates on April 21, with plans to showcase the very best material from their back catalouge.
This week, the Brighton boys have been getting rather nostalgic on their social channels, celebrating the eleventh anniversary of their debut single 'Naive', taken from the album Inside In/ Inside Out.
"11 years ago today, we released a special tune. Endless thanks to everyone that has taken it into their hearts since," they said before thanking fans for expressing what the song means to them.
The band have since been promising "something exciting" and telling fans to "stay tuned".
Well, we know there's a huge tour on the way, so could it be... a new record? Guess we'll find out soon enough.
The release of Listen in 2014 saw the band abandon their classic indie sound and bring hip-hop and experimental sounds to the table. They told Gigwise back then that they had grown "bored" of themselves and straight-up guitar music.
"People are a bit bored of guitar bands, but at the end of the day, it’s only the feeling behind it, and music needs that to work. Any genre works, as long as there is feeling behind it. I am inspired by the songs, and that’s why it feels good.”
