More about:

The 1975 have announced an outdoor show in London's Finsbury Park for Saturday 11 July. It will be the "greenest show Finsbury Park has ever seen" and will include support from Charli XCX, Clairo, Pale Waves and more.

With a concentrated focus on keeping carbon footprint low and drawing attention to the increasingly desperate climate crisis, the day of gigs will be the park's first paperless event; all tickets will be digital. The carbon footprint is reported to fall by 90% thanks to sustainably sourced HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel running the entire event. The band will also oversee the planting of 1,975 trees in the park's surrounding areas.

For the environmentally-conscious event, attendees will also expect performances from Phoebe Bridgers and Beabadoobee. More names are to be announced nearer to the date.

Food vendors will display a traffic light system demonstrating which of their meals are most, and leat, sustainable. The 1975 will also plant one tree for every ticket sold to the event.

Tickets go on sale this Friday 31 January at 9am.
