More about:

Pottery have released 'Take Your Time', another frenetic cut of krautrocky post-punk with a lot of dance in it. It's the second single taken from a forthcoming debut album Welcome To Bobby's Motel and it definitely lives up to the Pottery hype.

'Take Your Time' is a jangly, cowbell-indebted dance-punk track with more than a little Gang of Four influence. There's also a touch of krautrock: the tune is bound to catch on with fans of Squid as much as with Andy Gill devotees.

The song comes with a cool cartoon clip inspired by cult crazies Devo - it shows the journey of a drug deal from hand to hand through the city.

'Take Your Time' follows the release of 'Texas Drums Pt I & II' - another single that will appear on the band's debut LP Welcome To Bobby's Motel. The new one, Pottery say, is "about the darker side of drugs."

The Montreal quintet sold out their Brixton Windmill show last week, but there are more dates you can catch them on (see below). The band have already toured with Parquet Courts, Thee Oh Sees and Fontaines D.C.
