X Factor winner Matt Cardle has welcomed a Facebook campaign aiming to make Biffy Clyro's 'Many Of Horror' the Christmas number one.
Cardle's cover of the track, re-titled 'When We Collide', is favourite to take the top spot this weekend.
But a campaign started by fans of the Scottish band is aiming to make Biffy Clyro's version number one instead.
A statement on the Facebook group said the campaign was not "about sticking it to Cowell" but "recognising the original artist for their creativity".
Responding to the group, Cardle told BBC Newsbeat: "That is what it is. If that happens then great - it's a great song."
He also said he hoped his cover did the song justice.
