Adele would be the “perfect choice” to sing on the next James Bond film, says Sir Tom Jones.
Jones was just 22 – a year younger than Adele – when he recorded the theme to 'Thunderball,' starring original Bond, Sean Connery.
The Welsh singer told The Sun: “It changed my career and was a huge honour.”
Adele, who stole the show at last night's Grammy's, sparked rumours that she would provide the voice behind the Skyfall soundtrack last September when she told Jonathan Ross that she was set to record a “theme,” before adding: “Wow, that's really giving something away.”
Following his performance at the BAFTA's last night, Jones said: “Not that she needs it, but Adele would be the perfect choice for doing 'Skyfall.”
Skyfall is set to open in cinemas on October 23, with Londoners recently tweeting that they had caught a sneak preview of filming in Greenwich.
The film stars Daniel Craig in his third outing as Bond and is directed by Sam Mendes of American Beauty fame.
