Bon Jovi have slashed the prices of an upcoming gig in Madrid, after concerns that the economic crisis in Spain would leave fans unable to buy tickets for the show.
Tickets that previously cost between 70-80 Euros are now on sale for between 18-40 Euros, in a gesture Jon Bon Jovi describes as a 'thank you' to fans in Spain for three decades of support.
"It's a way to thank the Spanish fans for 30 years of support," says the frontman Spanish newspaper El Mundo. There were originally no plans for Bon Jovi to perform in Madrid due to concerns that tickets would not sell.
Bon Jovi return to the UK for a huge Hyde Park gig this summer, amid concerns that Richie Sambora will not perform after he quit Bon Jovi's 2013 US tour.

Sambora quit Bon Jovi's US tour on 2 April 2013, citing 'personal issues' for his departure, but gossip website TMZ later reported that it was due to a bust up comparable to infamous rows between Rolling Stones members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Jon Bon Jovi later hit back at these claims, however, saying there is no truth is the report.
"Don't believe what you read on TMZ because it's the furthest thing from the truth," said Jon Bon Jovi, speaking to US newspaper the Austin American-Statesman.
Bon Jovi are also set to perform at Dublin's Slane Castle this summer, and the owner has assured fans that Sambora will have returned to the band by then.
"He is out of the current leg of the tour," said Lord Henry Mountcharles to the Belfast Telegraph. "The latest news that I have is that he will be back for the summer."
