Bootylicious star thinned in promo pic

Photoshopped Beyonce image by Roberto Cavalli causes outrage Photo:

A digitally-altered press release of one of Beyonce's concert dresses sent around by Roberto Cavalli has sparked controversy.

The voluptuous star, who is almost as famed for her curves as her music, was reduced to an extremely skinny size in the image. The differences between the press release and real life were highlighted as the press release included pictures from the Ms Carter World Tour, in which she wears the dress.

Posted on the Cavalli Facebook page, there have been many comments from outraged fans suggesting that it portrays an unrealistic ideal.

'Why would you do such a sketch that clearly doesn't reflect her shape?" asks one fan.

Another echoes the same sentiment, asking If this is supposed to be a sketch of Beyonce why not actually draw Beyonce "instead of some imaginative image which fits the status quo for sickly looking run way models".

The page responded, posting this comment to nullify the questions by the angered fans: "We would like to clarify that the image of the gown created by Roberto Cavalli for Beyoncé is a sketch and not a photo, and therefore it is only meant to be a stylized and artistic vision.

"Roberto Cavalli loves women and more than anyone else has always exalted and highlighted the female shape with his creations, building his signature style on the glorification of sensuality and femininity."

How Beyonce actually looked wearing the dress while performing on the Ms Carter Tour

Beyonce previously proved herself against being airbrushed last week when she ordered executives at H&M to completely remove altered pictures which depicted her with less curves.

The company agreed, and replaced the offending pictures with the originals, accompanying the change with the following statement: "Our purpose has always been to portray Beyonce as the strong and beautiful woman she is. It has been a good working process and a close cooperation. Both parties are happy with the images."
