Empire of the Sun brought a very colourful and lively performance to US TV show Jimmy Kimmel when they played their latest single 'Alive' last night (Tuesday 18 June). Watch a video of the performance below.
The typically dramatic and theatrical performance sees the band decked out in extravagant costume and flanked by dancers in gold regalia.
The track is taken from upcoming album, Ice On The Dune. Speaking to Gigwise about the record, band member Nick Littlemore said: "There's so much creativity, from people coming to our shows or posting things online and really having an interaction with the band. It's not even really a band, it's a concept we want people to be involved in."
He continued: "We want people to get more involved in that, for the shows to turn into another galaxy and for everyone in the audience to have their own costume. Then, when we do get more organised and make the film, we'll hire all the audience for the film and it will be a whole other world."
