Jack White's Lazaretto has broken the record for first-week sales, since Soundscan records began.
The well received album is currently sitting at the top of the charts in the states, it is also sitting at the top of the vinyl charts and has smashed a few records of it's own on the way. According to White's official website, the 'Ultra' version of Lazaretto has sold a rather hefty 40,000 copies during it's first week on sale. This is ever since Soundscan records began recording vinyl sales in 1991.

The Ultra version of the record is quite a piece of work in itself, it is printed on 180 gram vinyl (standard), features two hidden tracks (one plays at 78 RPM making it a three-speed record), different masters from the digital release, locked grooves and a matte finish. It's basically porn for vinyl junkies, so a well deserved victory for White.
