There were rumours of Prince or The Libertines, but Kaiser Chiefs have been confirmed as the 'secret set' on the Friday of Glastonbury, kicking off a weekend of festival fun on Worthy Farm.
The band are already confirmed for a Glasto slot, but will open proceedings with an 11am performance on The Other Stage, reports XFM. In 2013, the much talked about secret set was performed by Liam Gallagher and his post-Oasis project, Beady Eye.
Kaiser Chiefs have enjoyed a career resurrection since frontman Ricky Wilson appeared as a 'mentor' on BBC talent show The Voice, with the band enjoying two weeks at No.1 in the UK charts with their 2014 release, Education, Education, Education & War.
Glastonbury will be headlined by Arcade Fire (Friday), Metallica (Saturday) and Kasabian (Sunday).
