Remember the story we published yesterday where Mumford & Sons denied that they were playing a surprise set at Glastonbury? They tricked us.
The band hosted the Gentlemen Of The Road stage yesterday, and curated acts such as Johnny Flynn and Michael Kiwanuka, but had insisted on their Facebook page: "This is a Gentlemen of the Road event only and NOT a Mumford & Sons performance."
Well, that was a fib - as not only did Mumford & Sons perform in the tiny tent yesterday, they performed alongside Haim.
Haim opened their own surprise performance with 'Honey and I', 'Forever' and 'The Wire' before all four members of Mumford & Sons appeared onstage to perform covers of the Rolling Stones' 'Dead Flowers' and 'Honky Tonk Woman'.
Some members of Mumford & Sons also appeared for the last song of Michael Kiwanuka's set in the Avalon Cafe.
The band's surprise performance marks their first live appearance since they announced their hiatus last year.
