Cliff Richard has shunned the unfounded sexual assault claims against him, announcing a tour to celebrate his 75th birthday.
The ever present British pop star faced one allegation of historical abuse in August, when police raided his house in Sunningdale. Although he was interviewed under caution, no charges were brought against him. He is subsequently staying in his Portugal house in the Algarve, where today's announcement was made.
"It’s been a difficult time recently, so I am really looking forward to doing what I do best . . . performing for my extremely loyal fans," he told the Daily Mail. "I would like to thank them all for their solid support."
The tour will on 29 September 2015 and will include five days at the Royal Albert Hall, including his birthday.
