Audio has surfaced of Lorde covering Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' aged 12, listen below.
The latest piece of material to surface from Ella Yelich-O’Connor's formative years, the clip sees the teenage prodigy take the track into new, folky territories, playing off the lyrical intensity of the original and adding a subdued edge, her vocals a stark change up from the Lorde we know today.
The footage was reportedly recorded at a local radio station in New Zealand where a 12 year old Lorde was doing a session, it is currently unsure as to whether more songs were recorded at the time.
