Freddie Gibbs was reportedly targeted in a shooting incident last night (3 November) following a gig at Rough Trade record store in Brooklyn.
Gibbs had just finished performing at the shop/venue when two members of the rapper's entourage were allegedly shot in a car sat outside the building.
Gibbs himself wasn't injured, however it's believed he was the target of the attack, and the rapper subsequently took shelter in the store until the gunman fled the scene.
Speaking to The New York Post immediately after the attempted attack, Gibbs expressed his shock at the situation: “They tried to kill Tupac. They tried to kill me... I’m still alive.”
The source of the beef itself is yet to be determined, with Gibbs only saying “I’m Freddie Gibbs. They tried to kill me, but I’m still alive.” when asked why he feels he was targeted.
