Scottish DJ, Clavin Harris will no longer be performing at tomorrow’s MTV European Music Awards in Glasgow.
The hitmaker who was due to perform his smash hit ‘Blame’ with John Newman will no longer be taking to the stage. Newman’s tweet, which has since been deleted, read: “No EMAs for me this weekend. Got some heart problems. Heading home to see if it can be fixed x.”
Award organisers posted on Facebook: “We have some really sad news. Calvin Harris and taken ill and will not be able to perform at tomorrow’s show. He sends his sincere apologies. Get well soon, Calvin!”

Motion, Harris’ fourth studio album, was released on 31 October through Columbia Records and features collaborations with Haim and Ellie Goulding. This year Harris was named the richest DJ on Earth by Forbes magazine. His fortune has risen from $46 million to $66 million over the past 12 months, with Forbes' estimates based on earnings from record sales, live shows, merchandise sales, endorsements and external business ventures.
The EMAs will take place today (9/11/14) in Glasgow and will be hosted by Nicki Minaj. The ceremony will welcome performances from the likes of U2, Ariana Grande and Royal Blood.
