Kings Of Leon's Nathan Followill has said the seventh album from the band is "coming soon".
The drummer tweeted the update following the band's final gig of their world tour for 2013's Mechanical Bull. He wrote: "So sad to leave Brazil. Hell of a way to end this record cycle. So many amazing memories. Best fans in the world, record 7 coming soon."
The band have been working on their new album while touring over the summer. "We're always working on music," Caleb Followill told Billboard in August. "The other day we had a rehearsal and we ended up going in there and just writing music and we didn't rehearse at all. But that's kind of how we do it -- if you put us in a room together with our instruments it's hard for us to dwell on the past and play something we've played a million times."
It has been a mixture of experiences on the road for the band this time round. Highlights have included Coldplay's Chris Martin joined Kings of Leon on stage for a performance of 'Talihina Sky' on 3 October at the Hollywood Bowl. The Coldplay frontman then stayed on stage to perform hit single 'Notion' with the band, with Billboard reporting that Caleb Followill quipped "I hope you enjoyed that. That cost us a lot of money," as Martin left the stage.
In August they had to cancel a number of shows following Followill sustaining an injury on their tour bus. The accident occurred when a member of public 'jumped infront' of their tourbus during their North American tour, resulting in broken ribs for the drummer.
