Rough Trade Shops set to release lavish 60 track compilation

Will contain some of their most influential tracks from the past 40 years

Rough Trade Shops is set to release their first ever compilation album, 'Best of Rough Trade Records', on 23 March.

The authoritative collection will contain some of the best tracks from the influential indie label's 40 year run, selected by the label's Geoff Travis and Jeannette Lee and Rough Trade Shops' Simon Russell, Sean Forbes, Pete Donne and Nigel House.

The compilation will cover the early years i.e The Smiths, Robert Wyatt and The Raincoats right through to the label's 2001 reincarnation with tracks from Arcade Fire, The Libertines and The Strokes. The current crop will be represented by Warpaint, Alabama Shakes and Micachu.

The selection will be released on the following formats:

Twenty track single CD (RTRTCD1)
Sixty track deluxe triple CD (RTRTCD3)
Twenty track ltd. 2LP (RTRTLP)
Sixty track download album (RTRTDL)
