A mystery eBayer has put DJ and producer Andrew Weatherall's beard up for auction, and whilst all you're paying for is essentially just 'the cuttings of a used beard'. Prices are skyrocketing.
With a starting bid of the very reasonable 99p, the beard which has become synonymous with the well-dressed DJ will be sold in five days' time - the current high bidder willing to shell out a whopping £19,000 for the trimmings.
The listing is accompanied by a recent photo of Weatherall sans beard at a recent event with Brix Smith Start (formerly of The Fall), so it seems that it actually could be possible to become the owner of this legendary beard.
The seller has said that "not only is this a chance to own the beard, but it is also expected to have a steady revenue stream from appearances worldwide."
Weatherall will play a b2b set with Daniel Avery at this year's Field Day in Victoria Park, playing on the Saturday alongside headliner Caribou and many more. Buy tickets here.
