Kanye West had the most extraordinary night at the Grammys including interupting Beck, reconciled with Taylor Swift and performing with Paul McCartney.
His primary moment in the spotlight came when he "jokily" crashed the stage when Beck was awarded Album Of The Year for Morning Phase. In movements that echoed his Taylor Swift interruption at the 2009 VMAs. It certainly seemed plausible enough: as the Vine below reveals Jay Z for one certainly looked on with genuine horror.

However it appears that West wasn't satisfied with a walk-on part. Appearing on E! after the event West complained bitterly about the decision to award Morning Phase above Beyonce's LP. "I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists, to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more," he explained. "And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should've given his award to Beyonce."
Warming to his theme West felt that he was frustrated by the lack of recognition. "Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration," said West. "And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyonce album and they feel like it takes them to another place."
He claimed that the reason he didn't repeat his interuption of Swift's performance was down to his new family. "I'm not gonna do nothing to put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity," he said. "That's the reason why I didn't say anything tonight, but you all know what it meant when 'Ye walked out on that stage!"
Elsewhere at last night's awards at the LA Centre, Kanye West was very much front and centre. He performed a stripped back rendition of 'Only One' as well as duetting with Paul McCartney and Rihanna on 'FourFiveSeconds'. He also provided the night's most memorable red carpet exhange. Talking to Ryan Seacrest West announced he was exectuive producing Rihanna's album but also that he "I just get bored with things really easily and try to find something that excites me" When questioned by Ryan Seacrest whether he had Attention Deficit Disorder, West declared. "Oh most definitely... it's also just called 'thinking'."
