Eric Prydz, known for his anthemic club mixes, has unveiled his remix of Chvrches' 'Tether'. Listen to it below.

Prydz first played the remix at Ultra Music Festival 2014, in Miami. The track was so popular with fans (including the band themselves) that almost a year later, it has officially been released as a single, accompanied by a slick sci-fi vibed video featuring the iconic silver cube from the album artwork.

In a reddit AMA, Chvrches' Iain Cook said "I was really surprised by [the remix], I had no idea he had done anything with the track. I saw the video of his performance from Ultra in Miami and it kinda blew my mind a bit. It's very flattering to hear our music used in that way."

The remix doesn't make much of a departure from the original track found on Chvrches debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. Pre-remix, the clubby synths come in about halfway through the song, which builds gently in the first half around Mayberry's vocals. Prydz jumps right in at the beginning of the song, turning it into a dance track through and through.

The track has been named by Radio 1's Zane Lowe as 'the hottest record in the world', who was told by Prydz in an interview that his album is in the "final stages." He added, "Everything is done and it should be ready in two weeks."

Eric Prydz is playing at South West Four Festival on Clapham Common. Buy Eric Prydz tickets here.
