Kendrick Lamar has revealed the artwork for his new album and perhaps hinted at the title.
The incredibly striking image, which could be considered a work of art in its own right, contains a huge amount of hidden messages and connotations that point towards the themes of the album.
It looks like a play on America's concept of itself as a nation and as an institution, with Kendrick and his crew smack bang in the middle. There's much more that can be seen from the cover alone so let the speculation begin...
Underneath the image is the caption: "Don't all dogs go to heaven? Don't Gangsta's boogie? Do owl shit stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream nigga...." - lil Homie.
So far the only confirmed track on the new record is 'The Blacker The Berry'
This has led some to believe that the new record isn't called Untitled anymore, but that the Instagram post points to the record being called To Pimp A Butterfly. Who knows. Like the cover it's open to interpretation.
