Kanye West has spoken out on racism, arguing that it's a 'dated and silly concept' that was used to hold black people back in the past.
Yeezy, who is gearing up to release new album So Help Me God, made the comments to French web channel Clique TV - where he argued that economics were now a more pressing factor in the progress of ethnic groups.
"Racism is a dated concept," says West. "It’s like a silly concept that people try to touch on … to separate, to alienate, to pinpoint anything, it’s stupid."
He continued: "It’s something that was used to hold people back in the past, but now there’s been so many leaps and breaking of the rules that it’s played out, like a style from the 1800s."

This week also saw the track 'Awesome' leak online - a truly bizzarre yet loving tribute to his wife, Kim Kardashian (but it wasn't taken from his stolen laptop). It is also alleged that the hacker group Anonymous targeted Kanye in a troubling and personal attack video.
