Yesterday, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy shared his new track ‘We Used To Dance’, and now he’s unveiled a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Golden Years’ – listen below.
Like ‘We Used To Dance’, this song is taken from the soundtrack to Ben Stiller’s new film While We’re Young. Murphy’s instrumental take on ‘Golden Years’ is simple and ethereal, and it’s exactly what we’d expect to come from James Murphy scoring a film.
The soundtrack for While We’re Young, which Murphy himself curated, is due out on March 24, with the film hitting theaters on March 27. The film also stars Naomi Watts and the Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock.
