Earlier this month, a jury decided that Pharrell and Robin Thicke would pay $7.4 million in profits and damages to Marvin Gaye’s family, but T.I. is now in the firing lineto cough up too.
The family wishes the judge to ‘correct’ the verdict that was reached by a Californian federal jury earlier this month and include more parties into it, including Universal Music, Interscope and T.I.
T.I. spoke to TMZ about the situation and revealed: "I don't know what's going on. I never really got caught up in that. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy and the estate of Marvin Gaye. I know that I'm a writer, a creator, I don't steal from anybody creatively when I make my music. I know that, and I think anybody with common sense will be able to see it whenever they listen to it. I’ll be exonerated or whatever cause I know I did the right thing.”
We’ve posted the videos for ‘Blurred Lines’ and Gaye’s hit ‘Got to Give It Up’ below so you can decide whether the Gaye family deserves the money…
