Brandon Flowers has announced a new UK tour, offering audiences the first chance to check out material from his new album The Desired Effect. Check out the tour dates and tickets below.

Promising to be all the moments of the Killers combined with a pop sensibility all of his own, Brandon Flowers' The Desired Effect is one of Gigwise's most anticipated records of 2015. To mark the release of the album he's announced a short UK tour. Flowers will play:

Thursday 21 May - London Brixton O2 Academy
Sunday 24 May - Manchester, Academy
Monday 25 May - Edinburgh, Usher Hall
Tuesday 26 May - Leeds, O2 Academy
Thursday 28 May - Birmingham, O2 Academy

As previously reported, the album is due for release on 18 May and is the result of a collaboration between Flowers and producer Ariel Rechtshaid.

The first single 'Can't Deny My Love' will be unveiled tonight on Annie Mac's show on BBC Radio One from 7.30pm.

Speaking to the Guardian recently Flowers said of his new album: "I wish this was a Killers record. It’s so strong. Every song on it is a single.” He also revealed that the album features 'I Can Change' (that samples Bronski Beat) and that he wanted to fire producer Rechtshaid four times during the recording process.

Flowers wrote in a handwritten note on his website: “Ariel and I have been collaborating in the studio, working twogether [sic] in the spirit of conversation, contention, and at long last, sweet contrition. No one has yet seen or heard the change. But soon, we all will.”

He has also released another video snippet for 'Can't Deny My Love'.

"I want to be on the radio," Flowers also recently added. "I've never been ashamed to say that. I can't believe where radio has gone. It seems to be such a weird world now. Where once I seemed to fit in, now I'm seen as a little different. I used to be considered mainstream, but now I'm almost avant-garde or art rock compared to what's on the radio."

He also revealed that The Desired Effect was influenced by Genesis' Peter Gabriel, Sting and Don Henley of the Eagles. "I think if you look at those people, they weren't just catering to little kids," he continued. "I think adults like pop music too, and we shouldn't be - I'm speaking for all of us - we shouldn't be listening to a lot of music that we're listening to! "There has always been pop music, but it can speak to you too, you know."

While The Killers are said to be on hiatus, they were recently confirmed to headline Firefly Festival in the US with Kings Of Leon and Morrissey.
