Good news for fans of The Libertines - the band are back working on new tracks and have told fans to await news on their new album 'soon'.
Songs for their long-awaited their long-awaited third album have been in the works since Pete Doherty began rehab treatment in Thailand. Doherty has since successfully completed treatment, but it's where he and Carl Barat have been decamping to work on the follow-up to 2004's self-titled record.
Now, the band have taken to Facebook to share the above image of the songwriting duo together, with the message: "Peter and Carl are back in Thailand to continue the writing for the new album. Expect album announcement soon."
Speaking about progress on the new LP last month, Barat said: "The Libertines have always been about anthems to doomed youth. I'm not entirely sure how happy the new songs will be lyrically, but the message is strong in the new songs. It's doomed youth overcoming hardships with optimism."
