Nile Rodgers has said that he is the “biggest Miley Cyrus fan on the planet” and that he was blown away after seeing her perform live.
In a new interview with Q Magazine, Rodgers said: "I've also become the biggest Miley Cyrus fan on the planet. I've watched her sing live twice, my jaw dropped!”
Rodgers had previously hinted towards a possible collaboration with Cyrus, telling Digital Spy last month: "I've also become really good friends with Miley Cyrus, who sings her ass off! All of this stuff just happened in the last few days, and I'm thinking, 'Wait a minute, these people are amazing. Why am I going to fool around? So I just called up Miley and was like, 'Yo Miley do you want to do this?' [And she's like] 'Yeah!'."
Rodgers also discussed the idea of working with a contemporary rock band, stating that The Strokes “are awesome” and that he also really likes the Arctic Monkeys. “I'd most like to do the Red Hot Chili Peppers,” he told Q. “I've always dug them for some reason."
Nile Rodgers recently released 'I'll Be There', the first new Chic track in over 20 years, which he described as "a CHIClipse". You can listen to the song below.
