George Ezra was forced to cancel his set at Coachella yesterday (April 10) after he was unfortunately diagnosed with viral laryngitis.

Apologising to fans for not appearing on the Mohave Stage yesterday, Ezra tweeted:

The singer-songwriter recently had to postpone gigs in Manchester and Glasgow due to health reasons too. The doctor advised him to cancel these shows as a result of his exhaustion. Ezra said that he became aware of this problem after the BRIT Awards, saying to The Sun (via NME): “I realised I’d been drinking for 18 months. I had to stop it, I couldn’t keep up. I had to chill out. I should have waved my white flag two weeks before The Brits. It got to the point that, even if I wanted to carry on, I couldn’t. I was exhausted.”

We definitely feel as though the festival-goers at Coachella missed out. But not to worry, there are plenty of great acts scheduled to play today including Jack White, Royal Blood and Jungle. These acts will all be available to stream online including other stellar artists. For more information about the streaming schedule, head over here.
