Drake has clarified that his horrified reaction when being kissed by Madonna on stage at Coachella was surprise rather than disgust.
Memorably described as "the kiss heard around the world" by Dillon Francis, on Sunday night Madonna appeared on stage with Drake at Coachella.
During a medley of her hits, Madge then began lapdancing Drake and kissed him, seemingly to his great surprise. Drake momentarily lost his cool, as captured in the Vine below.

Now following outraged headlines throughout the world (including some appalling ageism and sexism towards Madonna) Drake clarified his statement on Instagram: "Don't misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 100% about that forever. Thank you @madonna". He also declared that the performance was "a moment to write home about".
Drake's latest mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, was released in February and promptly set a record for the most release-day streams ever at 6.8 million (he recently announced it would receive a physical release on 21 April). After illness prevented him from performing at 2014's festival, Drake is set to headline Wireless Festival's 10th anniversary this July. For tickets and more information click here.
