Pete Townshend and Eddie Vedder are teaming up to play a Teen Cancer America benefit show in Chicago this May.
On May 14, Townshend and Vedder will put on a night at Chicago's Rosemont Theater called ‘Celebrating The Who’.
The pair will be joined by Pete Townshend’s brother, guitarist Simon Townshend, as well as drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino and keyboard players John Corey, Loren Gold and Frank Simes.
Watch Pete Townshend and Eddie Vedder performing 'Heart To Hang Onto' on The Late Show with David Letterman in 1999:
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 21 at 10am. Prices for reserved seats will run between $100 and $1,000.
Proceeds from the event will go towards helping teens being treated for cancer at the University of Chicago Medicine, along with other local children’s charities. The concert is being held to help Teen Cancer America, which Townshend and his fellow bandmate Roger Daltrey launched in the US in 2012, following their involvement with the UK foundation Teenage Cancer Trust.
