Adam Lambert has revealed the striking monochrome cover artwork for The Original High.
Due for release later this year, Lambert's third studio LP is his first for Warner Bros records and is produced by Max Martin and Shellback.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he hinted that his new LP is "definitely pop" and also mentionned that "there's some house on there" as well as "some R&B flavours". Lambert has released a snippet on Instagram recently ahead of its full debut tomorrow (21 April) and will finally release the single in the UK in June.

Lambert has also shared on Instagram some of the lyrics for the record including "Everyday you give away a piece of yourself / until nothing is left and that's how you become a ghost" and "...walked into the flames called out your name, but there was no answer." It would appear this fits in with Lambert's desire for this to be a deeply personal record that is open to interpreation. As he explained in an interview: "I want it to be less about me, even though it's personal, and more about the listener. So whatever it means to you."
Lambert recently told Notion magazine that he has suffered from self doubt following his success. "The music industry is so crazy, competitive and focused, and after the Trespassing album I kind of had to stop and ask myself, 'Why am I doing this? What do I want? Who am I? What am I about?' And just re-examine everything."
He continued, "I finally became more grounded about all of the fame stuff; it's not freaking me out any more. There were certain ways in which I triumphed and certain ways in which I stumbled a little bit. Unfortunately, people were watching while I was learning."
Queen and Lambert recently concluded their 26 date European tour. They have performed to over 300,000 people. Read our review of the London show here - described by our writer as 'One of the best concerts this writer has ever experienced at the O2'.
