Prince's Facebook hacked, promising new music + omelettes

Hacker also called Prince an 'asshole'

Prince fans were left somewhat bemused at the weekend when His Royal Badness returned to Facebook to promise new music and omelettes. However, it has emerged that his account was quite obviously hacked.

Fans were delighted at the idea that The Purple One had truly entered the social media age last year - posting his first selfie online and taking part in a fan Q&A (despite answering only one question).

Then in November, the 'Kiss' superstar deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as many of his videos from Youtube. He also had the Twitter account of his band 3RDEYEGIRL removed too, and deleted all but three videos from Youtube channel PrinceVevo.

Then his Facebook account sprung back to life on Satuday (18 April) - promising fans new music, reports Consequence Of Sound

It seemed somewhat believable, until things took a turn and Prince appeared to confess to being an 'asshole' who wants to 'bone' celebrities.

He does love breakfast though, as we know - but this much?

Naturally, the posts were soon deleted and the account deactivated again with reports suggesting his account was hacked.

Meanwhile, Prince is again (as he always is) rumoured to be performing at Glastonbury 2015.

"It's like 'Quit lying, man!'" 3RDEYEGIRL drummer Hannah Ford told Gigwise last year about the constant Glastonbury rumours. "Right when tickets go on sale... If you keep saying it falsely every year, that's not a good look. It's not going to make us want to come."
