At long last Blur are streaming their long-awaited eighth album online in full. Check it out below.
It is the band's first album since 2003's Think Tank, and their first as a full four-piece with guitarist Graham Coxon since 1999's 13. Both albums were brilliant, but fans have been keen to see what form they would return on after their years of high profile reunion shows.
Now, you can stream the album in full over at iTunes UK here.
"Although we shoved it all aside when we got back together, I realised that passions were still slightly high about it all,” said guitarist Graham Coxon in an interview. “Y’know, in those years since [he left in 2002], I probably said a few stupid things in the press – because the circumstances of why weren’t together as a four-piece were quite unclear. We’d met a couple of times – one was some mediation thing where we had to go over stuff that was difficult… We were all raw and hurt by it, for quite a while.”
He added: “To be honest, the last couple of years when I was in Blur it wasn’t like we were good friends, like we could ring each other up. Everybody was going through management and we all had our own lives, our own problems.”
Produced by long-time collaborator Stephen Street, the LP began with once halted sessions in Hong Kong, and later South East Asia. It contains the already aired tracks ‘Lonesome Street’, ‘Go Out’, ‘I Broadcast’, ‘My Terracotta Heart’ and ‘There Are Too Many of Us’.
