Albert Hammond Jr. has revealed he has requested to support Arctic Monkeys on tour - but is afraid Alex Turner doesn't like him.
The solo star and Strokes guitarist revealed his ambition to tour with Alex Turner and co on the road as he believes the pairing could make for a hugely impressive show. However he also revealed that he's afraid Alex Turner may not like him after being told that a support act had already been chosen.
"I'm trying to get an Arctic Monkeys support," he said, in an interview with NME. "I mean, I wrote Alex an email... I'm friendly with Matt and we get along, we've hung out, I've said it to him but I know he's kind of like, "I can't do anything"."

"I just feel like it would be a good bill, that's all. I just tried to be honest about how much I think it would be a cool thing, you know, it would be interesting for fans..."
