After news began to spread that Adele had "confirmed" that a new album and tour were on the way in 2015, the chairman of her record label's parent company has insisted that there is "no truth in this."
Earlier in the year, the singer seemed to tease the fact that a new album was coming soon with a tweet on the eve of her 26th birthday.

Adele's debut album was called 19, and was written when she was 19 years old. Her second album, 21, followed the same pattern, so many believed the tweet was announcing that the third would be called 25.
On Tuesday, the official Twitter account of the World Music Awards said: "#adele confirms 2015 tour after the release of her new album 25!" However, the account has since deleted the tweet.
Since then Martin Mills, the chairman of Beggars Group, the record company who owns Adele's label XL Recordings, has told Billboard that there is "no truth in this."
Adele's phenomenally successful 21 album was released in 2011, and has since sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
