Along with a reboot and theatrical re-release
by Ed Keeble
The Ghostbusters theme tune is to be reissued on vinyl, only this time it's marshmallow scented.
Part of the 30th anniversary of the infamous movie franchise, the release has been confirmed along with a series reboot and theatrical re-release. This follows on from the theme being released for Record Store Day 2014 on glow-in-the-dark vinyl.
Legacy Records will reissue Ray Parker Jr.'s iconic theme on 12" white vinyl, which will feature Run-DMC's 'Ghostbusters Rap' on the flip side. It comes packaged in a marshmellow scented gatefold jacket, remniscient of the films accidental nemesis - The Staypuft Marshmallow Man.

Also included is a 6" figurine of the marshmellow man and the inside of the sleeve resembles the texture of marshmellow. It is initially limited to 3,000 presses and is due for release 21 October.
