Newcomers Phox were among the many brilliant bands at this year's Great Escape Festival in Brighton, with the Winsconsin five-piece bringing their effortless, dreamlike folk-pop to the UK for their first taste of their unique, heartwarming sounds.
The band have today premiered new track '1936' on Gigwise, and we assure you - this track will make your day go a little easier.
A harmony-driven gem, '1936' showcases frontwoman Monica Martin's crystalline voice, as her vocals swoop across a subtle drum beat and soothing guitar and banjo plucks. With echoes of Feist and The Lumineers in their music, Phox are set to win hearts when they release their debut, self-titled album on 1 September 2014. Their new single, 'Slow Motion', is released on 9 June.
