The film, shot by frontman Matt Berninger's brother Tom, follows the band around on their world tour in 2010 as they finally rise to huge international acclaim - but also tells the story of Tom's own identity crises as he measures his own life against that of his successful brother.
The documentary will receive its UK premiere later this month, but now they've revealed that the DVD release will feature an extended bonus version.
"There is some extra footage out there. Some of it's so bad, though!" Tom told Digital Spy, to which Matt joked: "That's what's good about it."
Tom continued: "Hopefully [it'll be on the DVD]. Hopefully we can get it all in one place eventually."
Matt added: "There's gonna be a huge bonus version of it. The plan is well under way and Tom is working on it right now. There's no hope - it's definitely happening."
