Paramore co-headlined Reading festival last night (22 August) and a power cut forced frontwoman Hayley Williams to perform 'The Only Exception' a cappella with the one working microphone. Watch it below.

The band were part-way through their set at the festival, which they co-headlined with Queens Of The Stone Age, when the speakers blew, leaving the band with just one working microphone for 15 minutes.

As technicians rushed to try and fix the problem, the entire band sat down at the front of the stage, and Williams told the crowd, "I want to play fast songs, but right now we're going to do a love song, you and me a-cappella, it will be very special."

The singer then began a stripped down version of 'The Only Exception', accompanied by a completely unhearable guitar. About halfway through the song, power was restored to the guitar, and by the end, the full band could be heard. It was pretty lovely.

At the end of the performance, Williams, who had at this point been brought a warm coat by one of the technicians, said: "We will never forget this."

Paramore finished their set with two songs from their 2013 self-titled album, 'Proof' and 'Ain't It Fun'.

Paramore and Queens Of The Stone age will co-headline the main stage at Leeds festival tonight (23 August).
