Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit have covered R.E.M.’s classic song ‘Walk Unafraid’ for the original soundtrack to Reese Witherspoon’s new film ‘Wild’.
The sisters showcase their trademark harmonies on this reworking and makes the song feel uplifting and rapturous due to the delicate strings and intense howling. Never under-estimate First Aid Kit’s ability to make a gentle folk song that tugs at you emotionally and never lets you go.
The film ‘Wild’ will feature tracks from Bruce Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel as well as The Shangri-Las.

The duo are never afraid to speak their mind and talked to Gigwise earlier this year about their disdain for being asked about what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry saying: “We talked to Haim about this actually" says Klara. "We just said that we’re tired of being asked about 'What it’s like being a woman in a band?' Because we don’t feel like we should have to be champions for that.”
