Future Islands have revealed a candid and moving short documentary, Road Dawgs, which follows their incredibly successful 2014. Watch it below.
In the documentary, which includes candid interviews and live footage from a hometown set in Baltimore, they talk about fainting from exhaustion, breaking down at shows, and the difficulty of being away from family.
On his eccentric and open live performance style, Samuel T. Herring admits, "I feel like [performing] is one of the strongest things I have in my life. I feel like it's my job to be honest and to break myself for the people that need that in their life."

The band also discuss the demands of a heavy touring schedule: "A lot of people think touring is like a big vacation but it's very gruelling, it's very difficult, it's hard for your mind. Being in a different city every night for months on end is insane. Humans are not supposed to do that."
Jay Buim, who was also responsible for the 'Seasons (Waiting On You)' video, produced and directed the film.
